- These motors operate with a constant
torque up to the base speed(this is accomplished
by the AC Drives by maintaining the full flux
at the rated current)
- Motors designs can be made for
specific base speeds(i.e.frequency),voltages
and consequently torques. This can be used to
optimize the motor,so that major cost savings
can be made on the inverter or the grear box.
- The speed of operation does not
affect the cooling because there is a separately
mounted axial cooling fan. Thus these motors
can be operated at lower speeds continuously.
- Both the motors and cooling units
have IP55 protection.
- The mounting dimensions of
these motors are identical to the standard 3
phase AC Motors and can be directly replaced
in existing installations.
